Olasubomi Sofowora (Subomi)
Board Member
Olasubomi Sofowora (Subomi) is an author, transformational leader, and strategic community builder with nearly two decades of experience in brand communications, strategic marketing, and sustainable development.
She is known for driving social change through innovative initiatives, including her role as Program Facilitator at the African Women’s Alliance of Waterloo Region, Ontario, and her advisory role in establishing the Muhammad Sanusi II SDG Initiative.
Passionate about women’s empowerment, Subomi founded Woven Impact Network, which has empowered over 100 grassroots micro-business women through its Women WIN program, with a goal of reaching 1,000 more in two years.
Subomi has also held leadership positions at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc (FMN), where she designed value chain development programs and led brand-building initiatives. She is the Lead Strategist at Coresense, a consulting firm focused on crafting authentic narratives and delivering strategic growth solutions.
Subomi is the author of Merged Chapters, a self-help book that became an Amazon #1 new release. She holds a Bachelor's in Agricultural Economics, an MBA, and a certificate in Business Sustainability Management from the University of Cambridge.
Subomi is also a Fellow of Queen’s University’s Advanced Leadership in Social Impact program and serves as the Kids Ministry Director at Creekside Church, Canada.
