Peter Hall is a Canadian economist and business strategist. He is the CEO of econosphere inc., where he advises industry associations, corporations, and international trade initiatives. He also serves in several advisory and academic roles, including with Martinrea International, Elevate Export Finance, the Forum for International Trade Training, the C.D. Howe Institute, QG100, and the Canada-ASEAN Business Council.
Previously, he was Chief Economist at Export Development Canada, where he led economists and risk analysts, advised senior management, and produced economic forecasts and geopolitical analysis. Before that, he directed economic forecasting at the Conference Board of Canada. He has also held leadership roles in professional economics organizations, including as president of the Canadian Association for Business Economics.
Hall frequently speaks in the media and at conferences across North America. He lives in Cambridge, Ontario, serves on several charity boards, and holds economics degrees from the University of Toronto and Carleton University.
