FAQs

Got a question? We’re here to help.

  • What do local chapters and BIZ groups do monthly?

Our CCBF goal is to build-up business leaders who will positively transform their workplaces and communities into living examples of Christ’s love and service to others. Community Chapters and Church BIZ Groups study Biblical Leadership Principles and discuss how to apply these principles with wisdom in our daily lives and work to experience this transformation.

  • Is this a networking group?

These are not primarily networking groups. Our purpose is to connect relationally and grow spiritually for the sake of growing our businesses. A wonderful side-benefit of studying Biblical Leadership Principles is that strong relationships emerge with people of integrity and help to shape profitable businesses!

  • What do you mean by “Christian”?

A Christian is a person who believes in God and follows Jesus as their sin-forgiver and life-leader. Human beings regularly mess things up and get stuck in a morass. But God loves us and sent Jesus to let us know He is serious about loving us. Jesus is our way back to God.  If we want to know what God is like, we need only look to Jesus.

  • Why is this a “Christian” organization?

We recognize that someone does not need to be a Christian to be good or to do good things, which is why everyone is welcome to join a group. However, it is God who inspires us to help others turn their businesses into something exceedingly better than just a way to make a living. We are guided by the God-inspired belief that through a supportive community of people, caring kindness, welcoming inclusion, forgiving grace, and open generosity that businesses can transform themselves into positive examples of God’s intended way for us to live. The wisdom of God, as written in the Christian Bible, is the source of this inspiration.

  • Do I have to be a Christian to attend a meeting?

Business leaders of all faiths, religious traditions and those with no faith experience are welcome to attend.  Our leadership principles are drawn from the oldest textbook in the world – the Bible.

  • Do I need to become a member before I can attend a meeting?

CCBF Memberships are not required to attend monthly meetings.  However, if you receive value, becoming a member makes sense and allows us to reach and serve more people. We’re seeking to build a movement of business leaders striving to make a difference in their communities.

  • Who can be a member?

CCBF memberships are offered to leaders in businesses, non-profit and charities and to individuals. We offer different levels of membership that reflect different sizes of each business and organization.

  • How do you define “leader”?

At CCBF, our focus is to serve those who own, operate, manage, or otherwise contribute to the decisions made in a businesses and organizations. These business leaders include any person who uses their influence to impact lives and to change their organizations. This is both a powerful opportunity and awesome responsibility. Our mission at CCBF is to help all our members to become wise and effective “servant leaders” who will positively impact the lives of their colleagues, employees, customers, partners, suppliers, and their communities.
