ADJUSTING TO CHANGE
Like many of you in the marketplace, CCBF too needs to adjust to the realities of the needs and expectations of its members and program participants.
In March 2004 a group of us met for breakfast at Ody’s in Woodstock to explore the possibility of a monthly breakfast meeting. That was the first of over five years of monthly breakfasts. Earlier this month on October 1 the group met for the last time. Attendance at one time as high as eight regulars had dwindled to one local and two from out of town. One regular moved to Cambridge, one’s employment situation changed and now has him commuting into the Niagara Peninsula every day, others either because of family situations or needing to be more hands on with their business were unable to participate anymore. The Woodstock Breakfast is History for the time being.
Niagara, a breakfast that goes back many years, changed locations and now meets in the Fifth Wheel at Casablanca Boulevard and the QEW in Grimsby. The first meeting at the new location saw a good attendance with as many regrets as were present. The future looks promising.
In London, the youngest Breakfast Group, we have changed location from the Flying “J” Country Market at Highbury and the 401 to the River Valley Restaurant at 1600 Highbury North (about 12 KM North of the 401) in London.
CCBF is ready and willing to organize a monthly breakfast in your area; all you need do is ask.
