FAMILY DAY...
Howard Levitt, Financial Post Published: Wednesday, December 12, 2007
“Another Liberal boondoggle! That was the prevailing sentiment of Ontario employers when Premier Dalton McGuinty proclaimed Family Day in his first act of re-election. The statutory holiday was added to the burden of employers already struggling from the effects of the Canadian currency being on par with the U.S. dollar. But for many employers, there is an answer. Just say no! A section of the Employments Standards Act permits employers to ignore certain standards if, on balance, they already provide a "greater right or benefit" in that area, employers who are already providing 10 or more holidays a year can, in my view, require their employees to work on Family Day with impunity. I tested that view with senior officers in the Employment Standards Branch who generally believe my opinion is correct. A couple of my clients' unions are grieving their refusal to add Family Day to an already long list of holidays. I will keep you posted.”

MORE THAN BUSINESS
Ontario Christian Gleaners had opportunity to share their message www.crossroads.ca/broadcas/program.htm

THE ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS
“But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba] Father." So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.” Galatians 4:4-7 NIV

MAY GOD BLESS YOU RICHLY AS YOU CELEBRATE HIS SON’S BIRTH AND THROUGH ALL OF 2008
