MORE THAN BUSINESS:
CCBF member Nick Groen sent this note; Just to let you know that the 7th Annual Sports Celebrity Dinner tickets have gone on sale this week. We have room for 600 attendees and we expect a sell out crowd again for this year.
Individual tickets are $75 with a $50 tax-deductible receipt. $5 of each ticket sale will go to the Carpenteros Education Fund. This fund helps the very poor families to send their children to high school. The parents have to come up with 40%, the Carpenteros Education Fund covers 60%. Good education is a way out of poverty. The balance of the ticket sales is going again to support Micro Credit Unions in Honduras and El Salvador supporting up to 58 communities
Table for 10 is $750 with a $500 tax-deductible receipt. Corporate tables (9 tickets) $1300 which include a Sports Celebrity at your table. Corporate Sponsor (8/9 tickets) $5000 seated with Tony Fernandez and other media attention.

Since most of you now have the 2007 CCBF Directory close at hand, you may want to check your North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) assignment. If your business is coded incorrectly, please advise CCBF by completing the form on the www.ccbf.org/membership.htm page. We’ll be sure to do it right in the 2008 edition.

BACK TO WORK
Just like the kids going back to school in September, so too do businesses go back to operating at full strength and capacity. As noted at the top, CCBF monthly meeting opportunities also swing back into action. With that we’ll also be looking to collect all still outstanding dues. If your renewal notice is gathering dust, why not look after it now.
