MORE THAN BUSINESS
You’ve possibly had a chance to visit this section of CCBF’s web site www.ccbf.org/more_than_business.htm; this is where we link non-business activities CCBF members are part of.
Earlier this month CCBF members Tony & Pat VanEs organized an information evening for Opportunity International an inter-denominational organization they’re becoming involved in. It was interesting to see a number of CCBF members attend and together with local politicians and a federal MP learn about this very lean organization which has almost $500,000.00 out in loans starting at $170.00 www.opportunityinternational.ca

Back in April we were privileged to be part of a large group that met to support Ontario Christian Gleaners www.ontariogleaners.org That dinner was a great success as witnessed by this part of their newsletter, “We currently have a little over $283,000: that's including $70,000 in pledges…. Although we have decided to begin construction, we estimate that we will need approximately $200,000 to $250,000 more in order to meet the requirements for completing our building and purchasing needed equipment. Please pray that the LORD will bless us with these funds. If you are employed in a building construction or related trades company, please consider helping us defray the cost of construction by donating labour and/or materials.” The guest speaker at this dinner was John Murray, recently retired from Euro-Evangelism. John contacted CCBF earlier this month and he makes himself available to apply his expertise to your organization, business or charity, here’s a brief outline of John’s skill-set;

This note will take you about one minute to peruse – but maybe I could save you hours and increase your revenue at the same time. I am a graduate of the American Writers and Artists Institute in copywriting and can consider some new assignments at this time. With more than twenty-five years writing experience, perhaps I can offer you some new ideas with your projects. If you are looking for a new slant or perhaps some stronger, more positive writing in your promotional materials, your fundraising letters or newsletters, I would be delighted to help you. Also I have written scripts and recorded the voice-over for corporate and fundraising videos. An mp3 demo file is available if you have need for voice-over services. Send me an email or give me a call, I’ll be happy to chat with you. murray150@fastmail.fm (519) 853-9229
