Dear CCBF member,
Earlier this month fellow CCBF member Carl Norg, owner of Carl’s Choice Meats in Brantford, had an opportunity to address the Standing Committee on Agriculture and the competitiveness in the meat industry. Carl and his family as well as all other small independent butcher shops are dealing with an increasingly aggressive and unfair inspection system that is slowly forcing them out of business.
Please take a few moments and read Carl’s presentation to the committee.
Better yet log on to the audio recording of his session with the committee as it met earlier this month. Carl’s presentation and the following discussion with the committee takes just over sixty minutes. It starts at 13:00 and last just past 14:00 hrs.
Once you’ve heard it I am sure that you too will want to send a message to Queen’s Park, asking them to adjust the regulations now in place.
Thanks for your time, interest and continued support
Hans Vander Stoep
Executive Director
