The TRI-Rock Employment Program Living Rock Ministries has been successfully assisting at-risk teens/young adults in Hamilton for over 22 years. Yes, some of the teens need extra patience and help, but many just need an understanding employer to mentor and assist them in their new start to life. I have been working with teens/young adults now for over 32 years and these teens are the hardest I have worked with. They are in tough situations, they have been hurt by people they have trusted and some have just made bad decisions. But in all of them, there is a great young adult waiting to come out. We are looking for employers who would like to take a teen under their wing and see if we can give them that second chance that they could really use. The government of Canada subsidizes their wage by paying you $8.00 an hour ($8.75 in April) for a maximum of 35 hours a week for 8 weeks. That is a minimum of $2,240!
