Participation Opportunities
Monthly Breakfasts — Members form regional chapters where they meet over breakfast (ordering and paying for their own meal) to talk about personal and business concerns, and also to spend time reading through appropriate, scripture-based, leadership development materials. The CCBF has developed a five-year curriculum of materials which systematically leads participants through a wide range of business, leadership and personal issues.
Regional Events — CCBF is developing a menu of regional meetings where guest speakers are brought in to address specific topics. These will be more thematic in nature, such as financial planning or transition in business ownership.
INturn — CCBF is expanding its internship program which currently involves business students enrolled at Redeemer University College in Ancaster, Ont. In cooperation with Christian Higher Education Canada (CHEC), CCBF intends to offer internship programs across the country to many of the 33-member institutions, placing students with CCBF members in business settings, corporate offices and institutions. CCBF also intends to work with Christian high schools to extend their co-op programs into the Christian business community.
Mentor Network — Many long-time CCBF members have retired from their established businesses. They have among them hundreds of years of professional expertise in a wide range of areas. CCBF is tapping into that rich resource of human experience and godly wisdom in creating The Mentor Network, matching young entrepreneurs with seasoned veterans.
You ARE the Network — The CCBF is all about building relationships with other Christian business and professional leaders. Our Christian faith is what unites us. Our membership is inclusive: it includes members from a wide range of denominations, from professionals to front line workers, male and female, from young entrepreneurs to corporate patriarchs. Membership includes educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and associations. Members choose to become as involved or non-involved as they like. One new connection, one more client, one generous donor easily covers the annual membership fee. |
